In the past 18 years I have successfully handled many business and personal tax issues that involved the IRS. For 5 years in the early 1990’s I was a partner in a regional Third Party Pension Administration firm. Before that, I was the Director of Taxation for a billion dollar manufacturing company for 14 years. As Director of Taxation, I personally represented our company in numerous IRS large-case audits. In my first position after College I was a staff auditor for one of the largest CPA firms in the world.
I earned my CPA certificate in 1972, and my MBA in 1976. To ensure that I am giving top tier, relevant consultation, I endlessly look for ways to further my education. Annually, I attend a five-day tax training seminar hosted by a chapter of the Research Institute of America. I have also participated in courses sponsored by the University of Illinois, Chris Bird (a nationally recognized tax educator), and Ken Wright (tax attorney in Missouri), to name a few.
